Crew Selection Process
All rowers wishing to be selected for the race crews should be responsible for their own fitness training and it should not be a case that you come rowing to get fit to be in a crew, two evenings a week is not good enough for this if we want to compete at the highest level!
At the end of the day selection should come down to four simply things which are:
Strength
Fitness
Ability
&
Commitment
The crew selection should then be based on in boat training and decided by the coxswains and the rowing secretary, it’s as simple as that! Although once selected people should not assume that these are the crews for the season as commitment to training is still required and crews should be reviewed weekly if necessary.
