The Club’s financial and membership year runs from 1 October to 30 September each year, and at the AGM every November the fee rates for the new year are agreed.

Rates for 2024 are proposed as follows, with no change in fees from 2023:

• Full Membership £80

• Young Adult/Student Membership £50

• Junior Membership £40

​

Membership classes are applicable as follows, as specified in the new constitution:

• Full membership

        18 years and over

• Young adult/student membership

        Members in school years 12-13, or attending full time further or higher

        education, are entitled to a reduced membership rate (to be determined

        annually at the AGM)

        Members who are of university age (18-21) but not in full time education             to be categorised as “Young Adult Member” and as such will be subject to           the same reduced membership rate.

• Junior membership:

        Up to, and including, school year 11

For new members joining part way through the year, the relevant membership fee may be pro rated as follows:

• 1 October to 31 December 100% of the full fee due

• 1 January to 31 March 80% of the full fee due

• 1 April to 30 June 60% of the full fee due

• 1 July to 31 September 40% of the full fee due

This pro rated fee structure is available to members joining in their first year of membership only, provided that their joining point is part way through the Club year. Once joined, members are expected to pay the full annual fees thereafter.

NB The historic class of “social membership”, by which individuals could pay per row, has been abolished, being unwieldy, difficult to administer and unnecessary (exceptional circumstances may apply on a case by case basis). From 2024 anyone wishing to explore membership will be offered their first three rows free of charge, and thereafter will be expected to join in one of the categories as above.
